Final piece Graffiti

Hello fellow internet users.

Dance my friend
When analysing the formal elements of 'Dance my friends' I will be analysing the main focus point of this photograph and the feel that it gives off towards it's audience. The most sharpest aspect of this particular piece would be the tall character that is holding what looks to be dancing creatures in a cage. The way how the character has been made the sharpest point of this photograph would be how the detail that the artist has given on the clothing showing each ripple and lining of the jumper. The artist of this graffiti work has also used shadowing on the back of the characters legs showing as if they're is a light facing the left hand side of the character.

The lighting within this photograph is natural lighting, as this picture has been taken in an alley the colours are more gritty and dark which gives a more of a creepy mysterious look towards it's audience. This picture has also been taken with a light from the camera so that the main focus point has been more lit up compared to the rest of the photograph.

As this graffiti piece has been created on boards that seems to be covering a window it creates more of a rectangular look towards the photograph as there are a lot of straight sharp dominant lines within the picture creating a repetitive pattern throughout the photograph using geometrical shapes.

Love your master
When analysing the main focus points of the photography piece 'Love your master' the most sharpest point of this photograph would be horses face as this character is the most dominant character in the picture than the master itself. This is so that it gives of a more inferior side with the passion and love which has been given off from the horse towards it's Knight.

The lighting in this photograph is natural lighting as it has been taken in the day time on the streets of Cardiff. As this photograph has been taken in an alley there is not much lighting that is being shown which mean that there are only a small about of shadowing that has been highlighted at the bottom of the wall here the light can now hit and also towards the right hand side of the wall as you go deeper into the alley.

The most dominant lining within this photograph would be the lining of the wall and the pavement as these line are in a diagonal view it gives the photograph a more triangular look towards the bottom of the  picture, this has been carried through the graffiti work as many shaped within the chartered are rectangular for example if you look at the legs of the knight you will notice that the rectangular form has taken place as the top of the photograph the shape is more rectangular. The use of these line have also created direction within the photograph as if you were to be looking down a street in the middle of Cardiff. The position of this photograph has given it's audience a more three diminutional look as it has been taken on a slant instead of showing a flat wall covered in art work.

The colour within this particular photograph is very vibrant and colourful as the artist has used the colours pink and white as the most dominant tones and textures.

Follow thou leader
When analysing the formal element of the photograph 'Follow thou leader' the most sharpest part of this picture would be the face of the long snake looking character as in this photograph this character has been seen as the leader of it's followers it has been mostly highlighted compared to the rest of the picture.

The lighting that has been used in this particular photograph is natural lighting as this picture has been taken in the day time in the middle of Cardiff. As the lighting is natural lighting the picture has a slightly grimy look towards it. As the lighting is coming from the left hand side of the photograph which shows shadows in place underneath the building and on the bottom right hand side of the picture where as as the left of the photograph it has been more highlighted.

Lining within this picture is a very dominate force as the building that the graffiti work has been design on has very sharp endues and gives of a rectangular look towards the audience on the picture. As this picture has been taken on an angle you can see a three diminutional form has taken place.

The most dominant colour which has been used within this particular photograph would be the colour blue.  As this particular piece is called 'Follow thou leader' the colours signify that the creator in the graffiti work is leading it's followers to the sky to somewhere above everyone and everything else in the world as the colour blue shows light and coldness to the artwork.

Find the evil inside you
When analysing the graffiti piece 'Find the evil inside you' the formal elements show that the most sharpest and clearest part of this photograph is the eyes of the demon that is trying to fight it's way into the human body. This part of the graffiti work is the most sharpest part of the picture is because the audience will feel as if they are looking into the demons eyes and find each soul it has stolen.

The lighting show has been shown within this photograph would be a flash that was used from the camera as this picture was taken at the night time in an alley on the streets of Cardiff by a car park. As this photograph has been taken with a flash the left hand side of the picture is a lot more brighter than the rest of the photograph. This creates a more dark mysterious look towards the picture causing the audience to feel as if they were to enter hell itself.

There are many dominant lines within this particular piece for example the board that the graffiti work has been created on has a strong rectangular lining causing the photograph to have a more rectangular looks towards it as this particular shape has been used frequently throughout the picture with the lining of the pavement.

There is no dominant colour which has been used in this particular piece as this graffiti work has a mixture of many different colours in it. The colours in this photograph are very bright and colourful compared to the rest of the picture, this represent a dark hole around the graffiti work.

Final Piece Architecture

Hello fellow internet users.

Elephant
When analysing the formal elements within architecture the key part would be the visual aspect of the photography, what it looks like, in which part of the photograph looks the most sharpest compared to the rest of the picture. Within this particular piece of work the most clearest aspect would be the reflection coming of the windows of the building. As the lighting is coming from the right hand side of the building you gather a true glimmer of sun bouncing of the windows creating a dominant lining to evolve from the building which has now appeared.

Within this photography piece there are many geometrical shapes which are being shown such as the rectangles from the shape of the windows and the roof of the building as it comes to a point. The most common form of shape within this photography would be three dimensional shapes, for example the beams which are coming out of the building have more of a sphere shape create more of a round look towards the building, for instance the name of this particular piece is 'Elephant' the reason of this name is the circular look of the beams look as if they are the trunk of an elephant.

The lighting which has been used when taking this photograph is natural lighting, as the lightning was natural the picture gives of more of a blue effect as there are many windows giving of reflection from the sky. Other colours which have been shown within this picture would a bronze colour, this gives the photograph more of a cold effect towards the audience and bronze is a very dark colour.

Espire
When analyising this particular piece I will be looking at the main focus point, for example which feature of this photograph has the most sharpest aspect. The clearest focus point of this photograph would be the the windows of the building as it has a very sharp reflection that is being shown, the colours of the reflection are very bright from the top left hand corner, and as you come closer to the center of the building where are sharp edge point has been shown you will see the colours darkening.

Within this photograph the rule of thirds have been used as if you were to look at the edge of the building you will see that it is only slightly of the center of the picture creating the appearance of the rule of thirds are is is close to the right line on the rule of thirds. This makes it easier for the human eye to understand the picture in a much more clearer sense of mind, making the space which has been used equal on each side of the building. There is a lot of negative space that has been used within this photograph as the top part of the picture is not being used as the point of the building stirs upwards.

Within this architectural piece the shape and form of the building shows a triangular feel towards it's audience as the building starts off very sharp as it goes backwards the width of the building becomes much wider, it looks as if the building was about to turn around the corner as the reflection on the right hand side of the building is more slanted.

The lighting in this particular piece would be natural lighting as from an audiences perspective the light from the sun is being shown directly onto the building from the  top center creating a very bright visual effect causing a shadow to appear at the top of the building. This causes the photograph to have a dominant blue colour which has been spread all through the picture.

Atrium at Day
When analysing 'Atrium at day' the main focus point of this architectural piece would be the center of the building as this particular aspect of the building is much lighter and much bigger than the rest of the building it shows much more of a unique style as the shape gives off a rectangular look. In this photograph the lighting is natural lighting that shows as if it has been taken in the day time. The direct line of light is coming from the back on the left hand side of the building creating a shadow at the bottom causing the light become brighter towards the top half of the photograph.

This particular architectural piece is very sharp and rectangular creating dominance towards the right hand side of the photograph creating a repetitive pattern within the picture. All the shapes within this particular photograph are three dimensional, this effect is mostly given off as the photograph has been taken on the left hand side of the building creating the edges of the building to point out towards it's audience.

This photograph gives of a cold effect towards it's audience as the colours which are shown are neutral, as the most dominant colours within this particular piece would be blue and white. The tone of this photograph goes from a dark brown which has been created from the brick work on the side of the main focus point then moves towards more of a brighter tone the as the lighting goes diagonally up towards the right of the building.

Final piece Portrait

Hello fellow internet users.

Life shall move on
when analysing the visual and technical visions of the photograph 'Life shall move on' the formal elements such as the focus of the picture shows sharpness in the figure holding the rose, this is so that the character looks as if they are not trapped within the background of the picture causing a clash effect so that it's as if they are jumping out at you, this is done by the bold black colours which are used that are played against a blurred effect which is used on the memorial causing the fence and the trees look as if they are rotating whilst the character is stood still.

The highlights which are shown within this photograph are shown on the face of the character, you can mostly see the light reflect on the nose and the right side of the face this shows that the light which is used is natural and has been taken during the daytime as it is placed outside a momoral gate, it is a very harsh sun light causing such brightness on the face. When analysing this picture the shadows which are shown are in the eyes of the model, mostly seen in the left side of his face. When looking towards the models chin the shadow is shown under the left side of his face. This shows that the light is coming from the top right hand side of the character.

The lining which is being shown within the background of the picture are straight lines causing the pattern on the shirt of the model to repell. There are many different linings within this photography for example the pattern which is shown in the fence of the memorial are curved. When using the blurred effect on Photoshop this gives off the impression that the whole world is moving as the lining on the models shirt stays still. There is a repetition that has been used in the background of this photograph of the fencing as in every bar of the fencing has the sames lining and curves this has created a pattern within the picture.

The target audience for this the photograph 'Life shall move on' would be to aim to purpose the hopelessly romantic audience. The way how this particular photograph has been aimed towards this form of audience is by the way how when you look into the models eyes will will feel as if you have looked into the dark mysterious ways using a red rose to catch the hearts of the audience.

Mystery behind the wall
When analysing the visual elements of the photograph 'Mistry behind the wall' as this is a portrait piece the main focus of this photograph would be the the face as it is the sharpest part of the picture, this is to show the audience the depth of emotion that this model is feeling as in the photograph the model is lost within a different world 'Behind the wall' trying to find his way out. Before the print of this photograph the eyes of the model was darkened so that it's audience would feel as if they were being pulled in.

The showdown which are being shown in this picture would be behind the model as the lighting is coming from the left hand side of his face, the lighting which is shown is a natural soft light which is not directly placed onto the models face as it is a reflection from the sun.

Within this image the dominant lining which is being shown would be the brick work of the wall that is behind the model. The lining of the brick work is curved as they look as if they are coming out of the wall from the side creating a three dimensional effect. The lining of the walls show that the model is stood still with no movement as they are flat and sharp. This is a repetition throughout this photograph as the model is also wearing a checkered shirt creating a squared illusion as he lies against the wall.

The composition of the photograph shows the rules of third as the eyes of the model slightly under the the top line of the third of the picture with the nose perfectly inline with the left hand side of the third of the picture create an even effect which is being shown making it easier for it's audience to understand and visualise.

When analysing the photograph 'Mystery behind the wall' I would say that this particular photograph aims to the young generation audience as most people that would appreciate this photograph would be teenage girls who are interested in attractive young lads as teenage boys will looks at this photograph and would want to look like him. You would find this type of photograph in the a platform such as a fashion magazine as the models shows a lifestyle which people would like to live.

Love your soul
When analysing the formal elements of a portrait such as the visual effects and the main focal point within the photograph the audience would be able to acknowledge that the rose which has been placed in the models hand would give of the most sharpest effect in the picture as it gives of a brighter and warmer effect from the rest of the photograph as the main colours which have been used within the picture are different shades of blue which could signify sadness and hurt.

The lighting behind the model is very bright as if the further you go the deeper you become to a light hole which could signify the name of this particular piece which is 'Love your soul, as the whiteness is the soul that the audience is looking upon. The lighting which has been used in this picture would be natural lighting with a high exposure which has been used when taking the photograph. As you look at the models face you will see that the light is coming from the right hand side creating a shadow on the left hand side as he looks down towards the floor.

The most dominant lining within this particular photograph would be the stairs which the model is sat on. These lines are horizontal which every other line around the stairs such as the shirt that the model is wearing they are going vertical. These lines which are being shown in this picture are very straight and sharp cutting, they could also be seen as rough looking, this creates a repetition of a rectangle look towards the photograph.

I would say that the target audience for this particular photograph would be single young ladies which are into romance as they would love at the model and hope or their future boyfriend to be as romantic and treat them with the flower of love. You find see this type of photograph to be on a build board in a city centre to advertise a merchandise such as clothing or even a males aftershave. This cause male to buy the product because they will want to be just like the model.

When using documentary in photography it is used to show a certain side of the world documenting an event or a problem, for example in my final piece I will be documenting graffiti/ street art. The way how these photograph's will show it's audience that it is a documentary piece would be allowing the visual art to be the photographs main vials piece. An indication on the concept and the style that I will be working on when taking the photographs in visual terms will be gritty with an urban effect as these picture will be taken outside in alleys and around more cultural parts of Cardiff city I will be using natural lighting to capture the true image which is being portrayed. Sophie Alysha Masterman.

Unit 57 photography and photographic practice.

Samuel Lloyd Winstanley.

The photographic application which will be used when taking portraits of a young male will be to show it's audience love and compassion hidden away in a young gentleman by doing so I will be using a red rose used for a metaphor of love. The way how these photographs will signify the look of a portrait is by the way how the model will be posing, for example in one of the photographs which will be taken the model will be leaning against a brick wall looking towards the camera only showing the top half of his body.

The deadline for my final piece will be Friday 14th November.
The intended audience for the portraits will attract a young female audience from the ages of 15-25 as the gentleman which will be used within these photographs is young elegant man this causes females to be more attracted to the pictures as they will want the compassion the photographs will be giving off.

The concept which will be used when using the form of portrait in my photography work will be a dark gritty look with the constant look of red that will be placed with the object of a red rose.
